How to paint watercolor pomegranates, very easy and fun!

Very simple tutorial for beginners!

You just need 3 primaries colors - cool red, warm yellow and cool blue.

In my case - alizarin crimson, cadmium yellow and ultramarine.

  1. First, paint a shape of pomegranate with water

  2. Dry a highlight out with a tip of finger (light source from the left side)

  3. Apply red color, do not paint the highlight

  4. Add yellow for the light part of the pomegranate

  5. Add blue for the shadow part

  6. Repeat steps 1-5 for the second pomegranate

  7. Paint cast shadows (oval shape) from the right side

Done! Happy painting!
