Winter Art Classes 2025 for Teens 11-12+ years old in Kitchener. “Drawing People, Movements, Faces, Expressions” Learn to draw people like a pro! This 10-class course is designed to teach teens how to capture the human figure, expressions, and movements in fun, dynamic ways. Held in our bright Kitchener art studio, each 1.5-hour class explores different art styles, helping you find your favorite and build your skills. What We Cover: Cartoony Style: Learn the basics of drawing simplified, exaggerated characters. This style is perfect for creating fun and expressive faces and personalities. Anime Style: Dive into the world of anime, focusing on unique eye shapes, facial expressions, and epic poses for your characters. Realistic Style: For those who love detail, explore the fundamentals of realism, with tips on proportion, shading, and gesture drawing to make characters come to life. Introduction to Figure Drawing Basics Proportion and Realism – Basic Anatomy Facial Features in Detail – Eyes, Nose, and Mouth Drawing Faces and Expressions - Cartoony and Realistic Styles Full Portraits – Combining Features and Styles Hands and Feet – Cartoony and Realistic Styles Developing Dynamic Poses Drawing from Real Life – Live Model Session Why It’s Fun: This isn’t just a class; it’s a chance to bring your ideas to life! Imagine drawing yourself, friends, or even your favorite characters in your style. Whether you’re just starting or looking to level up, each session includes plenty of time to experiment, work on your unique ideas, and get feedback to make your art stronger. Extras Just for You: All supplies are included, so just bring your imagination! You’ll also get to work alongside other young artists, share ideas, and have a blast while creating. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation: No refunds! Art credit is available for the next classes/camps. Late registrations are accepted. Art classes - you can join us any time and pay for the remaining classes or have make-up classes. If you miss a class during a session, you'll have a make-up class. Art camps - you can register during an art camp week for the remaining day(s) or half-day(s). If minimum participant numbers have not been reached by 1 week before the start of Art classes/camp, you will be notified and Art classes/camp will need to be canceled. You will get a refund or you may transfer your payment to other classes/camps.
